Mentorship Programme
We have 3 types of Mentorship at the Foundation for our Programme Participants to access
Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Mentors
- Develop Emerging Young Leaders
The ability to work with emerging young leaders, to share knowledge, experience and the skills necessary to enable future high-impact, responsible entrepreneurs.
- Intuitively Meet Fellows
The ability to intuitively meet the Candidate Fellow where they are at in their personal journey and connect with their goals and aspirations.
- Give Sound Advice and Expertise
The ability to give sound advice and expertise on personal branding, networking, career or business goals and financial acumen
Types of Mentorship
Fellowship - Peer Mentorship
- Who? Years Explore and Experience Candidate Fellows will mentor Candidate Fellows in their first year in the Foundation.
- Content: Peer to Peer Learning and Support.
- Format: One on one mentorship Virtual or in person Once a month for an hour (Minimum 7 sessions).
- Matching: Matching according to University and Faculty.
- Timing: Matching in March Sessions from April until November.
Fellowship - Industry Mentorship
- Who? Fellows, Industry Professional and Entrepreneurs mentoring Senior Candidate Fellows (Years Explore and Experience) and Fellows (Graduates).
- Content: Career planning, entrepreneurial learning and personal development.
- Format: One on one mentorship Virtual or in person Once a month for an hour (Minimum 7 sessions).
- Matching: Based on their preferences (Industry, skills, etc).
- Timing: Matching in March Sessions from April until November.
Association Mentorship
- Who? Fellows, Industry Professionals and Entrepreneurs mentoring Fellows (Graduates).
- Content: Career planning, entrepreneurial learning and personal /Â leadership development.
- Format: One on one mentorship Virtual or in person Once a month for an hour (Minimum 7 sessions).
- Matching: Based on their preferences (Industry, skills, etc).
- Timing: Matching in February Sessions from March until November.

Commitment from Mentors:
The Criteria:
- A minimum of 7 one-on-one interactions with their mentee, which can be in person or conducted virtually. These will run from April to November
- An Orientation & Training session at the beginning of the year.
- Short, quarterly evalution surveys
- Mentorship Connect & Equipping sessions
- A year-end event
